Conversation with a Ola Cab driver:
Recently I have traveled in an Ola cab and had a conversation with the driver.
I was shocked to know how much does an Ola Cab driver earns.
Me: Hello Sir, from how long have you been working in Ola
Driver: 6 months
Me: How is your work?
Driver: Its so good. I start my work at 6 AM in the morning and ends at 10 PM.
Me: You are working so hard for living.
Driver: Actually, the reason for starting the day very early is I get more bookings in the morning when compared to afternoon and evening. However, as per the Ola we need cover 3 rides after 5 PM.
For each and every driver, there will be certain targets like 12 bookings, 15 bookings etc..
So, if i start my day early in the morning I can complete all my bookings by 6 PM itself. As people are facing issues due to non availability of cabs after 6 PM, Ola has introduced to make at-least 3 bookings to sum up the total number of targets. And, this is why we are getting late to complete all the target bookings as there will be more traffic during evening.
However, I am able to save at-least 50k (Rs: 50,000) monthly.
